SharkOps is a Geneva-based operations company founded by Aurélien Barbut, physical commodities operator.
Aurélien has spent over ten years in freight forwarding, logistics and physical trade execution, most recently as biofuels and ethanol trading operator in Geneva. His work has covered the full post-fixture chain: nominations, laytime and demurrage, documentary credits, vessel and shore tank management, and the link between operations and the P&L.
His expertise was built on the desk, and is backed by the Spedlogswiss diploma in international freight forwarding and the Operator’s Certificate from Suisse Négoce.
SharkOps was born from a simple observation: many trading houses need experienced operators at specific moments, without always being able to hire one full time.

SharkOps runs on tools built in-house: a CTRM covering voyages, documents, vetting and compliance, and a laytime and demurrage calculator. They make the work faster, more traceable and easier to hand back to your team.
